MLEOA is committed to enhancing law enforcement in our state and to providing training opportunities to officers at little or no cost.  In addition, our association offers aid and assistance in times of need for officers, provides a death benefit to beneficiaries of officers, awards scholarships to high school graduates, and provides a voice in the legislative process to ensure laws are passed that assist our officers in carrying out their mission in a safe, effective, and effcient manner.

All of this costs money, and the association depends on donations to assist us with our mission.  MLEOA is a 501C5 non-profit organization, so contributions to the association are not tax deductible on federal income tax returns.  However, such payments may be deductible as business expenses, provided that they are “ordinary and necessary” in the conduct of the donor’s trade or business.
